diaphysis fractures are the ones whose frequency has increased with the latest
advances in technology. They make up 3-7% of all fractures.
It is designed to stabilize fractures and deformities in the shaft (middle, diaphyseal) part of the humerus bone.
The number of holes is between 2 and 14. The plate can be used with Ø2.7mm, Ø3.5mm and Ø4.0mm locking cortical or cancellous screws according to the surgeon's preference.
The plate is designed to be flush with the bone surface and minimize soft tissue irritation. Thanks to the conical ends of the plate, its placement on the bone is easier.
Thanks to the Kirschner wire holes, the plate can be temporarily fixed to the radius, broken pieces can be reduced and the position of the plate relative to the bone can be adjusted.
The bottom of the plate has a limited contact surface with the bone. In this way, the slowdown in blood flow is minimized.
